Sahab Zade Rohan

Rohan's atta got a lovely kurta dhoti for him. These are the pictures of the kurta since Rohan refused to wear the dhoti.

Maestro?

Rohan listens to a lot of music - mostly hindi music. His favorites include (present and past)

- Piyu Bole (first song he picked up and repeated)
- Kaisi paheli zindagani (he would recognize the song from the opening notes and humming)
- Mai hun don!! (top of the list, anyday, anytime - by far his favorite.)
- Mitwa (mama, januye gaao - his constant request)
- Dhire se aaja (eternal melody - he knows most of the words)
- Om jai jagadeesh hare (again knows the words. the gods must be happy listening to such an adorabale rendition)

We hope he picks up more songs and oblidges us with a performance now and then. This is a challenge right now - he knows, but to get him to sing on demand is impossible.

Happy Halloween from the CAT in the HAT

Rohan had a great second halloween. I was very nervous that he would refuse to wear his outfit. But he was the best Cat in the Hat! He even wore the hat. We went out trick or treating and he got lots and lots of candy. He wished everyone he met a very happy halloween. He saw lots of ghosts, goblin etc. but he wasnt afraid at the time. He did however get up a few times crying. But overall a wonderful second halloween.




We gave him a lollipop before getting him ready. That was a big help. I quickly got his outfit on while he enjoyed the candy.

Happy Birthday to you!!

Our dear Rohan turned two this week!! We are both so so happy to reach this milestone. Its been the best two years and we wanted to really celebrate. Both Ravi and I took the day off and stayed home. We greated Rohan early in the morning with big hugs and lots of balloons. Nanaji and Ravi got up early in the morning and got him some nice balloons. He really enjoyed playing with them in the morning.

I took him out for a walk and we ran into one, two no three lawn mower guys. Wow - what a treat for Rohan. Rest of the morning we spent in Happy Hollow. Rohan loved this park and zoo.

We had a nice cake party celebration for him with friends and family. Having his little friends Anusha and Mallika there was really nice. He loved being the center of attraction and remembered everyone and all the happenings as were were putting him to bed. So a lovely restful second birthday for Rohan. Everytime we look at him we realize how truly blessed we our to have him in our lives. Here is to another lovely, fun filled year little one :))

Tickle Tickle

Rohan loves being tickled, guess most kids do. No matter how bad of a mood he is in, a nice tickle gets him going. He laughs and laughs which we just love. We try to have a tickle session everyday. Here are some snaps of Ravi tickling him.

Rohan's friend 'Aadit'

"Aadit" is Rohan's best friend. They have been together with Saroj AUnty since June, 2005 and really love being with each other.


We have taken them on play dates together. Even when there are other kids around, they tend to gravitate towards each other.

Its so great that Rohan has such a nice friend already!
